Monsignor Tom visits Dr. David Gruder, a return guest on Magnify, to get us into the 4th of July mood by talking about the patriotism of both liberals and conservatives.

Dr. David S. Gruder, PhD, DCEP, is perhaps the world's only clinical-organizational psychologist whose primary specialty is integrity development and education. As Integrity Revolution's Executive Director, he passionately embodies its mission statement (described above) through writing, keynotes, training, mentoring, and media interviews on various aspects of integrity-centered living, working, loving and serving. He is a frequent guest on many radio talk shows throughout North America. Dr. Gruder's doctorate is in clinical psychology with a secondary emphasis in organizational development and conflict resolution.

Dr. Gruder has authored two major print books, four e-books, over seventy CD sets and well over a dozen training manuals. His first print book, Sensible Self-Help, won two book awards, including Colliers 1997 Mental Health Book of the Year. His five-award-winning second print book, The New IQ, is a road map for addressing the worldwide crisis of lack of personal, relationship and leadership integrity. Its companion volume is the The New IQ Integrity Makeover Workbook (available in downloadable and print versions). His first website, the Willingness Works® website, www.willingness.com, is a Starburst Best-of-the-Web Top 100 Self-Discovery Website. His main website, www.TheNewIQ.com, is devoted to sparking an integrity revolution, along with its cousin website, www.IntegrityPledge.org.

Monsignor Tom visits with Tom Wilson, Jr. and they talk about his Dad who created the Ziggy comic strip as well as the  underlying philosophy in comic piece.

In his new memoir, Zig-Zagging: Losing Madly, Losing Badly... How Ziggy Saved My Life, Tom Wilson describes the game he would play as a boy with his father, Ziggy creator Tom Wilson Sr.. This game of ours always began the same. Dad would draw a picture of Ziggy happily strolling along, unaware of some horrible misfortune about to befall him. Ziggy might be zooming off a cliff, walking unknowingly into an open manhole, or oblivious to a meteor plummeting head-on his way. After Ziggy had been drawn into one of these dire circumstances, Dad would flip the placemat around, hand me his pen, and say, "Tommy, it's time for you to SAVE ZIGGY!"

Monsignor Tom visits with Frank Runyeon, a Hollywood Catholic actor. They discuss his new pay Hollywood vs. Faith.

Frank Runyeon has won national acclaim for his work as a translator and performer of Biblical texts. He has performed the gospel for hundreds of thousands of people in virtually every state in America. He also is regularly reviewed as “the best speaker we have ever heard” by students and faculty at private and public schools across the nation.

He is probably still best known, however, for his many roles on television. He starred for seven years as Steve Andropoulos on As the World Turns opposite Meg Ryan, then for four years as Father Michael Donnelly on the Emmy award-winning Santa Barbara. He also appeared for a season as tycoon Simon Romero on General Hospital opposite Emma Samms. He has guest-starred in recurring roles on L.A. LAW as talk-show host Brooks Tapman, on Another World as party boss Ed McClain, and on Falcon Crest as chess genius Jovan Dmytryk. He appeared on

Melrose Place
as Father Tom.
